Coming Events, Northampton Carnival 2009

Quote from ITZCARIBBEAN.COM

"The Northampton Carnival has a great local history and always aims to unite communities all around Northampton during the event itself. The people of Northampton and surrounding area's each year come together in order to share good feeling and enjoy the culture that is carnival time.

The Northampton Carnival has had strong traditions within the town from its great old history in the 1960's through the midsummer meadow times in the 1980's, to its short break in the late 1990's until its revival in the year 2005. The carnival aims to bring together all of the communities in the town to unite to celebrate and party to show each communities beliefs and culture

Other carnival communities from the UK regularly join in to to give the carnival a national feel, with more faces and colours it really gives the Northampton Carnival the sense of life. The objectives are simply to spread the spirit of the communities of Northampton, through many art forms so that those either taking part or watching the event can feel a sense of enjoyment that they have taken part in a truly magical community event.

Contact the Carnival committee with any idea's or if you want to help or even to support the site and the people that make the Northampton Carnival what it is. We would hope that the carnival grows to be alongside Luton, Notting Hill and Leeds are the biggest to really show the UK who
Northampton's communities are."

Inspiration FM's very own Mark Dean has been closely linked to the Northampton Carnival, and Inspiration FM radio is very much behind the carnival from the drawing board to the actual event itself !
