Love Music Hate Racism festival

Former Destiny’s Child star, Kelly Rowland is the latest act to join the growing list of performers for this week’s Love Music Hate Racism festival.

The Work It star will appear alongside UK acts Ironik, Chipmunk, Bashy and ex-Sugababe, Mutya Buena in the annual anti racism event at Stoke City’s Britannia Stadium on May 30.

Show organisers say that the award-winning solo artist will fly from her American home especially for this event, which is set to draw over 30,000 people making it the biggest musical event to take place in the city.

Kelly said: "its great to be involved in such worthwhile cause. Racism is still an issue in everyday society and I think it’s to important help raise awareness."

Festival organiser, Lee Billingham was equally as pleased to announce the 28-year-old’s attendance. He said:

“To announce that Kelly Rowland is playing is great news for the festival. Tickets are going well and this will only add to it. She is a mega-star and it great to have her on board.

"Aside from selling millions and millions of records she has always been prepared to work for good causes and we are delighted she is supporting this one.”

Tickets are available from www.gigantic.com and from the Stoke City FC stadium box office, via the ticket hot line on 0871 663 2007 or at www.scfcdirect.com
