Wizard Of OZ was the movie, which as you will recall , came the song "SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW".
Today, End Of The Rainbow, the title to playwrite Peter Quilter's current play to be co produced by Royal & Derngate. End Of The Rainbow, really a metaphor of Judy Garland's life.
Scene one , the hotel room in central London, January 1969, Miss Garland arrives with her new fiance, Mickey Deans.
Judy was booked by the Talk of the Town, cabaret restaurant featuring many of the popular artists of the time,
The songs include "Come Rain", "Get Happy", "The Trolley song",
"The Man That Got Away", and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"
End Of The Rainbow goes from the main set of the hotel room , Talk of the Town, and a BBC radio studio.

The story leads up to Miss Garlands tragic accidental death on June 22nd 1969, from over dose of sleeping pills.
Tracie Bennett played Miss Garland , It was a fantastic performance, Judy Garland was on that stage in my opinion !
Tracie Bennett is an amazing singer/actress, and convinced me that she was Judy Garland.
Tracie if you are reading this you made me cry on the final moments of Judy's life. A Standing ovation no less , and well deserved .
