Royal & Derngate Challenge 125 Mass Choir Event

Challenge 125?

As part of Royal & Derngate’s year long fundraising campaign in celebration of the Royal’s 125th anniversary, we are planning a Mass Choir event that we hope you will be interested in participating in.

In keeping with the 125 theme, our aim is to find 1,250 individuals, Choirs, and Groups whom all share a love of singing, to create the biggest mass choir event in the county.

Sunday, 18 April 2010  2:00pm - 4:30pm
Abington Park Band stand,
Wellingborough Road Northampton,
United Kingdom

This all takes place on Sunday 18 April, in Abington Park by the Band Stand at 2.00pm. There will be four unique Choirs performing, providing a fusion of different styles and genres.

Royal & Derngate Community Choir will bring an Inspirational Gospel flavour, and we are looking for three more Choirs who are available, and would like to provide a 15 minute live performance, followed by the finale where 1,250 voices join together as one, to sing two well known songs that represent a unity in the community of Northampton.

If your group/band would like to perform on stage, please email challenge125.masschoir@royalandderngate.co.uk as soon as possible, stating who you are, what genre and material you perform by Friday 2 April.

The finale songs can only be revealed to participants, as we want to keep an element of mystery and surprise for the general public to enjoy on the day!

If you would like to be one of our 1,250 voices, all you need to do is register by calling the Box Office 01604 624811 and quote Challenge 125 Mass Choir – the fee is just £1.25 per person. You will then receive an information pack.

All the money raised from this event, will go towards the new and exciting work produced on the Royal stage. We do hope you will support us in this event, and look forward to hearing from you.
