On Sunday 2 December from 11am to 4pm, for one day only, a Frost Fair will bring a retro vibe to open up the market’s Christmas Quarter.  A treasure trove of vintage finds will be on offer from The Most Marvellous Place to Shop and up to 60 stalls will be selling lots of lovely  handmade gifts, art, locally produced food and drink as well as homemade jams and chutneys. The fair offers a perfect place to find individual presents or relax at the refreshments cabin selling mulled cider, hot chocolate and mince pies.  There will be street theatre and music from the Fairly Famous Family, Temperance Society and Dodge as well as brass bands, carol singing and Christmas dancing from the Moulton Morris Men.

Christmas cabins will be joining the Frost Fair on 2 December and will be in the market from 11am to 4pm until 16 December.  The cabins will sell a host of Christmas gifts including handmade jewellery, ceramics and arts and crafts.

Charity groups will also be offering a variety of goodies to support their Christmas appeals, including Northampton Association for the Blind, Workbridge and Age UK.  There will be warming treats including hot roasted chestnuts and mulled cider, and throughout the fortnight crowds will be entertained with traditional Christmas carols, children’s activities, local choirs, bands, and street performers, including The Red Hot Santa’s and the Salvation Army Band.
