Portico Quartet are Jack Wyllie, Milo Fitzpatrick, Nick Mulvey and Duncan Bellamy – four young musicians from East London who started a band together after a chance purchase of a ‘hang’ at a music festival in 2005.
An instrumental band that play acoustic music with unfamiliar instruments, the band create music that draws from world, jazz, pop, rock, roots and contemporary classical music, yet sounds like you will never have heard before. With fans that include DJ Gilles Peterson to Radio 4, their unique sound will thrill you. This is a concert that will live on in your head long after the final note sounds.
