The Royal Marines Band Service is world renowned for the quality of its music, visual splendour and meticulous attention to detail on parade. In a special one off performance, a ‘Concert for Charlie’, The Band of Her Majesty’s Marines Collingwood will play at Royal & Derngate on Sat 6 February.
A musical extravaganza which will delight music lovers of all ages the Band embraces all kinds of music and visual spectacle. The Corps of Drums bring movement, colour and a flavour of the Ceremonial and State occasions of which the Royal Marines Bands are such an integral part. The repertoire includes stirring martial music, popular classics, music of the Big Band era, exciting contemporary works and solo features which all combine to produce performances that are entertaining, engaging and a feast for the senses.
Director of Music, Major J Burcham and Warrant Officer 2 Bandmaster Ashley Williams will present a truly unforgettable evening of entertainment.
