On July 2010 Inspiration FM Multi-Cultural Community Radio Station went on air with a new 5 year Community Radio License, but did you know it took many years to get to where IFM is today!
In 1996 Inspiration FM had successfully completed fifteen 28 days Restricted Service Licenses, this was to satisfy the radio licensing authority that there was a need for new service to the local community of Northampton.
So it was hard work from day one, and the rest, so they say is history!

This programme was broadcast by BBC Radio Northampton Friday 9th April 2010 running time is 60 precious minuets, how Mark squeezes so much into this show i will never know ! .... Just a thought thought though, "Inspiration FM Community Radio" launches this year, and if you ask Mark nicely, he may just continue this type of show there too. Just a thought !! ;-) lol
The county's community radio station will return to the air-waves, with a bumper entertainment package. After 15 very successful run throughs and the highly favourable response of Northamptonshire UK listeners, "Inspiration FM" will soon be Broadcasting 24/7 with a mix of music to suit all tastes, interviews, phone-ins, news, traffic, and discussions of topics that really matter to the people of Northampton town and county.

"We are Just weeks away from the exiting launch of IFM Community Radio,
some have said, It would never happen!
Because we have perseverance we are just about to reach that goal this July. We believe you will be happy with the wait, as we wanted every single new piece of equipment in place, and everything has to be tested to
a standard.
Also we have done a few alterations to our headquarters here in Sheep Street Northampton.
The next step is to make sure our presenters are updated with the new equipment, that means we will have to train to further our extensive skills.
All this takes time, and we thank all our friends for being patient, we are all sure you will be happy with the long wait !! Regards The IFM Team."
