Andy Fairweather Low
Dennis Locorriere, one of the last great undimmed American heroes,
still has one of the finest voices around. Best known as the lead singer of Dr Hook,
Dennis takes to Northampton’s Derngate stage on Thursday 18 February,
along with special guests Andy Fairweather Low and the Low Riders, in a must-see concert.
Lead singer on all the great Dr Hook hits, Dennis’ voice is instantly recognised the world over.
He sang on all the Hook classics, including Sylvia’s Mother, A Little Bit More
and When You’re In Love With A Beautiful Woman, notching up over 60 gold
and platinum albums along the way. Dennis’ own songs have been covered by such artists
as Bob Dylan, Crystal Gayle, Olivia Newton John, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton and Loretta Lynne.
Dennis now has a very successful contemporary solo career with numerous solo releases,
several international tours and major appearances at festivals,
including both Glastonbury and Cropredy, to his credit.
This tour sees him joined by his band and coincides with the release of his latest album Post Cool.
A fantastic guitar player, Andy Fairweather Low enjoyed hit after hit as lead singer with
Amen Corner, and subsequently went on to a highly successful solo career.
Andy has played with more major stars than most people can even dream of,
including Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix and Elton John,
to name just a few. Andy recently reignited his solo career, releasing two CDs,
a live DVD and touring regularly with his own band The Low Riders.
This inspired pairing offers a celebration of the best in music,
when Dennis Locorriere and Andy Fairweather Low perform at
